Dear Shawn

It would be very useful when you are in an area where the coverage is intermittent. If there is an automatic alert, then the user can take some steps to be back in the coverage area.

Manually checking would not help here for in one moment you have some signal and in another there is no signal.

It might be possible to do this but it really isn't on the todo list. The phone already has a signal status display so why duplicate functionality?
