You said "more than a certain distance". So what's the approximate distance, if you know?
Thanks!

If you move the receiver more than a certain distance away from where it was it will not fix quicly with the data you uploaded to it.
The receiver only remembers one set of data so I find uploading the data to the receiver tedious and the time taken to upload the data is longer than the 35 seconds it takes the receiver to fix.
These days I just turn on the receiver and then get into loadstone and the fix doesn't take that much time.
Also be aware the sleep mode is not that good best to turn the receiver off when you are not using it.
Regards, Kerry.

Karry,
I think I didn't understand you well. As it is fixed more quickly after the update, does it do so only at the location that is entered? The question may seam stupid to you, but the thing is that I don't understand why would I enter a location's information...
Thanks for responding, and best regards!

You can upload ephemeris information for your current location to the receiver which will cause it to fix more quicly when first turned on.
To do this you need to use the software that comes with the receiver which isn't all that accessible and you would have had to fix the receiver beforehand so it knows the current latitude and longitude.
The receiver only usually takes 35 seconds to aquire first fix so I just take it outside and let it fix by itself.
Regards, Kerry.
