[Loadstone] Digital compass question

Hi, and excuse me if the question is already answered - I'm reading the list 
but don't remember if it was asked...
Is it planned to add the digital compass functionality in ls?
The digital compass is present for example in Nokia e52, and possibility to 
use it would greatly increase the accuracy of direction measurement.
The direction measured by comparing gps positions is less functional than 
doing it by using the built-in compass module if present...
