[Loadstone] gps internal has good news

Hmmm. I guess I'm using the technology we have here at my work, where the
receivers know and store the most recent almanac data to speed up the
location fix on the subsequent survey.

I guess the sophistication varies from one type of receiver to another.

Good to know.

This isn't the case at all. Loadstone will save the last position found (and
always has) but this has nothing to do with the gps receiver. Especially in
the case of the internal receiver, there's no way to tell it anything even
if we wanted to.
