Hello Marissa,

I just hat a look at your hometown and it looks like it is just as well in OpenStreetMap and Google Maps.

You do not depend on the GeoCoder because you already know the coordinates.
This is how to do it:

1. To download your area, you can go to http://www.openstreetmap.org.
2. Then press tab approximately 20 times until you reach the hyperlink called "permalink". Klick it.
3. Now read the http address line and set lat and lon to the values of your home.
4. Set the z (zoom) value in the http address to 15 or higher. (18 is max). 15 covers Bronxville and areas around.
5. Click the hyperlink "Export".
6. Choose the option OSM XML data (this is an .osm-file)
7. Click export to start the download.
8. Save the map.osm file to your loadstone folder and run the OSM converter on it.
9. Follow the instructions of the OSM converter and import the database into loadstone.

If the file is not too big, you can try to choose a smaller number for the zoom and download a bigger area.

Hope that helps you!

Regards
Lulu-Ann
