[Loadstone] general question about loadstone development

Hello,
I'm curious to know from loadstone developers in which way they
usually operate for e.g. testing some changes they do to the software,
especially if such changes require to be connected through GPS.
Do you do such changes and then you go outside to test them, or do you
use some code simulating e.g. the reception of GPS coordinates/the
change of such GPS coordinates for emulating a change of position?

In addition, which IDE you use/suggest using for the Symbian development?
