Hi all,
The introduction of the MySQL engine for the off-line OSM converter caused
some UTF8 issues. These have been resolved. A new extracting module has
been added which takes care of .osm files over 100 MB. The module has been
tested on a 1 GB file and took 35 minutes to produce a LS database with 82
thousand points (55 thousand intersections and 27 thousand POI's). Bigger
databases causes the program to slow down notably, so let's leave it at
that. Results may differ depending on system configuration. The latest
version of the OSM converter can be retrieved from:
http://www.rmpro-hosting.com/ls/osm.zip
(direct download, 87 KB).
It would be interesting to know how accurate this OSM data is on Loadstone,
so any feedback is welcome.
Rob
