This could possibly be done. Unfortunately this wouldn't fix the functions
you suggest since there's no way to know if waas is on or off since it's a
function of the receiver. Same with most other gps commands, it just sends
with nothing from the receiver. The only exception so far is with mtk-based
receivers, they do acknowledge commands and report state.
