Rather than using a really non-accessible (unless you can see) web site
to find an export option, why not just go to the data directly?

http://www.openstreetmap.org/api/0.5/map?bbox=left,bottom,right,top

where left and right are min and max longitude, and bottom and top are
min and max latitude. This will just return an OSM file.
