[Loadstone] help for a new user

The Holux GPSlim240 is a shrunken version of the Holux GPSlim236, both of
which are running the Sirf Star III chipset. If you are looking for the
shrunken version of the Holux M-1000, you will want the Holux M1200, both of
which are running the MTK chipset. These shrunken down receivers are nice in
terms of its size being similar to that of a stick of gum but due to its
smaller size, it is harder to acquire satellites due to the surface of its
patch antenna being smaller. TTF, multi-path and GPS Drift are all effected
by its small size and the tendency for users to place these receivers in
pockets and other locations where the GPS signals must take extra time to
penetrate.

Subject: [Loadstone] help for a new user

Hi all:

I bought a Holux slim 40 about a year ago, and never got around to
installing the software until the latest edition.

Installation ok, link with receiver ok.
However, I seem not to begetting any signals.

Any help and suggestions welcomed - should I buy a new receiver?
