Just to chime in hear about the Nokia Mass software. Their was some incorrect information provided.
the map data is free for the Nokia mass software. The voice guidance is what cost.

Produced on a Nokia N73 smart phone using a Symbian based screen reader.

What would be cool for those with a data plan if loadstone could provide a
dl service or a way it can call out to get current map location info, that
would be way way cool.

Hi Jim,

Yes you do, but you can get a 1 week subscription for about $10 us to try
it. If you like it, you can buy 3 months or annual options, or just
subscribe for a week when you need it if you don't use it often.

I tend to use Loadstone nearly every day and have only used the Nokia maps
perhaps 3 times in about 12 months.

Cheers,
Brett.

Thanks. I heard you have to pay to use their interactive maps. But not sure
I'll have to go read up on it.

Hi Jim,

If you actually do need turn by turn directions, like when in a car, the
Nokia maps works quite well. It's not %100 accessible, but is for the most
part. It doesn't take away the usefulness of Loadstone, but can be good for
seeing and getting you to local POIs such as banks etc.

Cheers,
Brett.

I wonder what it would take to use the built in gps on the phones that have
it. Wile it might not be as good, it sure would be nice.

Hi all,

I didn't see the N82 on the tried and tested cell phone list. Has anyone
use it with Loadstone. I do understand that the built-in GPS can not be
used by LS, but that's no problem, I don't mind using a Bluetooth GPS
Receiver.

Regards,
David.
