[Loadstone] Loadstone mailing list changes

Maybe I'll try that again but I had used the "to" box and it never worked
because it was reading that the message was "on behalf of" and using the
individual's email address instead.

Hi Cindy,

I see you're using Outlook, hence my OE solution may not be directly
applicable -- I believe the rules dialog varies a bit. Anyway what I do is
to check the "when the to or cc field contains people" box and then place
the list address (e.g. loadstone at loadstone-gps.com) in the edit box along
with my preferred action, which is to move it into a folder.

Take care.
Geoff

I know this has already been settled but I did have a question regarding the
post below. In the past, I have set up my Outlook folders to sort from the
sender and it never works because the messages sent on listservs are sent
"on behalf of". Using the prefix for the listserv has worked best for me to
solve this problem but was wondering if I was doing something wrong the
other way that it would not work.

I personally prefer no list specific prefix in the subject, for me it's
really annoying. If someone gets lots of spam, he should think about a
proper way to sorten out most of it and not let others do the work for him.
There are many ways on the net to do that, for example have a look at
http://www.eleven.de/
(free service for private use)

I think filtering listmails into subfolders isn't too much to expect of
someone. Filtering for the string "Reply-To: loadstone at loadstone-gps.com"
in mailheader is a proper way.

just my 2 cent,
Bert
